What do we mean by ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET?
 
 
Passion, energy, enthusiasm, and drive this is what sets successful entrepreneurs apart from others. They have an attitude of making the seemingly impossible possible. They get things done and never give up because they enjoy the challenge. Others may say that they were born lucky although the reality is, they make their own luck due to their attitudes. This makes them attractive as they know where they are going, through their goals and burning desire. They have a strong sense of ‘why’ they are doing what they do. They are also ethical and moral, whilst at the same time they remain humble. Many will give back into the community or environment in the form of charity and support.
 
True Entrepreneurs know that they need to continually grow mentally and physically. They do this by the company they keep, in their peer groups of likeminded individuals, and by setting themselves challenges whilst also keeping physically fit. Problem solving is second nature and their view is to innovate around problem, creating new products or services, which allow them to stand out in the market place becoming a ‘profitable niche market leader’.
 
This means that there has got to be an element of risk taking. True entrepreneurs have developed an instinct and an intuition which has been forged from their evolution throughout life which enables them to make better decisions and take risk in a manner which can’t be found in business schools and books.
 
Successful entrepreneurs enjoy what they do and they have fun doing it. Their business is not a job; it is their interest and their passion, this results in their wealth being attracted to them as a by-product of what they do, not the goal. The profit they generate is because of the value they give to their customers. The value they generate is because they see business as being game and they have fun playing it. This is called the ‘attractor’ mindset which is a positive attitude. It attracts people opportunities and sales to the entrepreneur making them successful.
 
Alternatively there are many entrepreneurs and business owners who never get to this success. These people have ‘detractor’ mindsets which are negative. These people are complacent, live in fear, their egos get in the way, and they have limiting beliefs. They also have a peer group which will doubt, distract and give negative feedback. None of which is helpful to the business owner and as a result they buy into the common myths around growing a business.
 
These symptoms all collected together will paralyse the business owner. They get stuck and trapped in a competitive market. This has an adverse effect on profits, putting the business owner under stress, through over work. They are not able to afford to find people to work with them, leaving them burnt out and their emotional relationships under pressure.
This ‘detractor’ mindset weakens a business owner as it pushes people, sales and opportunities away due to negative attitude.
